Change in sleeping time during night travel by train

Sir,

The recent news from Railway authorities proposing change in sleeping time during night travel has both advantage and disadvantage to passengers.

It is true that persons in the middle and upper berths are inconvenienced if the passenger with lower berth opts for early sleeping. Generally, it is observed that the dinner  starts after 9 pm and stretches  beyond reasonable time which will be a helpless situation to all. Even if the person is a senior citizen with lower berth,  the new rule, if applied, will cause inconvenience.

Therefore, the option of side upper and lower berths must be made available to senior citizens also in all class of travel, which is being denied now by the system and the booking clerk pleads his inability to consider the same. Hope, the authorities will consider this suggestion in the interest of all for a peaceful travel.
