Chanting of Hanuman Chalisa: Devotees create new Guinness Record at Ganapathy Ashram

Mysuru: More than 650 devotees created a new Guinness World Record by chanting Hanuman Chalisa continuously for 33 hours, 33 minutes and 33 seconds at Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashram here surpassing the  earlier record of Hanuman Chalisa recital recorded at Sri Swaminarayana Bhajan Yaga, Vadodara, by Sadguru Sri Janani Vandavasi Swami Kundaldham.

The earlier Guinness record was 27 hours 27 minutes and 27 seconds. To record the latest Guinness feat, the organisation had sent its representative Swapnil Dangarikar to Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashram.

The record-breaking recital by devotees at the Ashram is included by the Guinness organisation under its Continuous Recital (satata parayana) World Record category.

In addition, the postal stamp brought out by the postal department to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Ashram’s Nada Mantapa has also entered the Guinness Books of World Record as the biggest Postal Stamp measuring 3.12 mtsx4.2mts.
