Mysuru/Mysore: Marking the 19th anniversary of Mysore District Photographers and Videographers Association (MDPVA), a programme titled ‘Chaya Sanje’ was organised at Kalamandira here last evening.
Two youths, Vineet and Sneha Shekar, displayed their skills in ‘Mallakambha’ and acrobatics respectively drawing a thunderous applause from the audience.
Children in attractive costumes danced to a popular folk song. Nayana of SaReGaMaPa fame rendered lilting songs and Tulasi Kushalappa presented a dance.
Inaugurating the programme, MLA G.T. Devegowda, impressed by the performance of children, wished them to emerge successful in their fields at national and international levels.
Former MLA and MDPVA Hon. President M.K. Somashekar expressed happiness in the growth of the Association and also promoting cultural programmes involving family members.
MCDCC Bank President G.D. Harish Gowda released the Association Diary. Congress leader K. Harish Gowda released the Association Calendar.
Congress leader Sunil Bose, ZP Member Roopa Lokesh, former Corporator Prashant Gowda, Sinduvalli GP President Krishna and others were present.
A health check-up camp and a workshop for videographers were held in the morning.
