In order to promote the chess talents in Mysuru, Rotary Midtown Academy, Hootagalli, has organised ‘CHECKMATE,’ the annual inter-school competition for the students of Mysuru, on Sept. 13 at the school campus.
Dharshan VPS, National Chess Player, will be the chief guest. Rtn. Naveenchandra, President, Rotary Mysore Midtown, will be the guest of honour. Y.G. Vijeyendra, Chess Master, will supervise the whole event.
Top three winners will get a cash prize of Rs. 1,500, Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 750 respectively along with trophy and certificates. Ten consolation prize will also be given.
