Cheluvachari (64), a retired Police Sub-Inspector and a native of Mahadeshwara Betta, passed away on Wednesday at Beechanahalli in the taluk.
He leaves behind his wife, two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were held at Beechanahalli Burial Grounds.
