Chennai’s Vidu. Deepika to perform at Mysore Vasudevacharya’s house

Mysuru: Vidu. Deepika Janakiraman, a senior vocalist from Chennai, will be presenting a Karnatak Vocal  Concert at the heritage house of Mysore Vasudevacharya near Agrahara in city on Sept. 8 between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm.

She will be accompanied by Vid. Arjun Dinakar on violin and Vid. G.S. Nagaraj on mridanga.

Artistes’ Profile

Vidu. Deepika Janakiraman is a disciple of Vid. T.G. Badrinarayanan from the D.K. Jayaraman School. She also had training under Anandam Ammal, Dr. Deepak Paramashivan and Vidu. R.A. Ramamani. Deepika holds a B-High Grade from AIR, Chennai. Formerly a faculty fellow at the Department of Chemistry, IIT Madras, she now  pursues Karnatak Music as her vocation.

Vid. Arjun Dinakar, a Computer Engineer by profession, is a graded artiste of AIR Bengaluru.

Vid. G.S. Nagaraj, trained under Vid. H.L. Gopalkrishna, Vid. B.N. Chandramouli and under Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. Thiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam, has been performing concerts in prestigious Sabhas and venues all over India and abroad for over three decades. He has many awards and recognitions to his credit.MUDA allots original owners’ land to others.
