Cheque Bounce Case: Two partners of Real Estate firm penalised Rs.4.33 crore

Mysore/Mysuru: A City Court has imposed a penalty of Rs.4.33 crore on two partners of a Real Estate firm in connection with three cheque bounce cases.

One B. Bhyrappa of Madagalli in Yelwal hobli of the taluk, had filed three separate criminal cases in the Court alleging that three cheques totalling Rs.4.33 crore issued by C. Narayanagowda and M. Pradeep Kumar, partners of a Real Estate firm, in connection with a Land Development Project, had bounced (dishonoured) in the Bank.

The City’s Fourth JMFC Court Judge Rajiv Golasar, who heard the cases, held Narayanagowda and Pradeep Kumar guilty of the charges and penalised them Rs.4,33,69,100 (Rs.63,10,400 in connection with CC No.313/2016, Rs.1,99,58,700 in connection with CC No.314/2016 and Rs.1,71,00,000 in connection with CC No.175/2017).

The Judge also directed the two to remit Rs.5,000 in each case as fine to the State Government out of this penalty and the rest of the money be paid to the complainant Bhyrappa.
