Is Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra targeted? If so, why?

At a press conference held on Friday, 12th January  at Justice Jasti Chelameswar’s house in New Delhi, Justices Ranjan Gogoi, Chelameswar, Madan B. Lokur and Kurian Joseph targeted Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra. Here is a message that is being widely circulated on social media explaining why the Chief Justice was targeted:

• Two days back, CJI Dipak Misra ordered a special investigation team (SIT) to reopen 1984 Sikh riots cases and investigate 186 cases related to it.
• It was Dipak Misra who intervened and ensured that terrorist Yakub Memon is hanged for 1993 Mumbai terror attack.
• Dipak Misra was appointed by Narendra Modi Government.
• Last month, CJI Dipak Misra slammed Kapil Sibal when he asked to postpone the judgement of Ram Janmabhoomi case after July 2019.  Justice Dipak Misra is leading the bench which will pass judgement on Rama-Janmabhoomi case.
• The judges collegium, everyone knows is a part of the “ecosystem” created over the last 7 decades and has always thwarted efforts to let “outsiders” come in the circle. It was this collegium which Modi Government wanted to dismantle through National Judicial Appointments Commission (NJAC)  and wanted that people’s representatives should have a say in Judges Appointment. The entire Judiciary ably supported by Congress derailed the entire activity and refused to comply.
• The campaign against Dipak Misra, maligning the CJI (a constitutional post) baselessly and asking for his impeachment a day after he ordered reopening of Sikh riots case and is set to pass judgement on Rama-Janmabhoomi case shows the power of ecosystem.

The message also throws light on the other judges who cast aspersions at Dipak Misra.

• Justice Jasti Chelameswar, Justices Ranjan Gogoi, Madan B. Lokur and Kurian Joseph opposed the government plan to make Aadhaar mandatory. If Aadhaar was made mandatory, crores of benami properties, bank accounts and real estate deals would be exposed.
• After the press conference, senior CPM leader D. Raja visited Justice Chelameswar’s house and held a meeting. Why did a politician visit the judge’s house? Raja is famous for mocking Hindus and Hindu gods and goddesses.
• The four judges are supported by people like advocate Prashanth Bhushan who is Left sympathiser and has a heart for Naxalites.
• All the four rebel judges are supported by Advocate K.T.S. Tulsi.
• Advocate K.T.S. Tulsi is the same person who is hell-bent to prove Robert Vadra an innocent in land grab and other corruption cases. Tulsi also saved terrorist Devinder Singh Bhullar from hanging and soon  thereafter he was made the Rajya Sabha member by the then UPA Government.
