Mysuru: A one-day ‘Chiguru’ Cultural and Sports Competition organised by Youth for Seva will be held on Jan.20 at 9.30 am at Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala premises in city.
Addressing a press conference in city yesterday, Coordinator of Youth for Seva Manojkumar said that the volunteers of Youth for Seva have been conducting tuition classes in subjects like Maths, Science, Computers and Science Lab for children of 24 government schools in city. This event has been organised for holistic development of these children, he added.
N. Raghavan of Raghulal & Co., will inaugurate the programme. Ladies Circle-109 President Meghana Sharath, Industrialist R. Guru, Vijay Foundation Founder B.R. Pai, Vijaya Vittala Institutions Hon. Secretary R. Vasudev Bhat, GSS Foundation President Srihari and MIT Education President Dr. Murali will be the chief guests. The competitions will begin from 8 am.
Over 1,200 students from 24 government schools including 50 teachers, 250 volunteers, 50 judges will take part.
The valedictory will be held on the same day at 2.30 pm where prizes will be distributed to winners of various Cultural and Sports competitions.
