Periyapatna: In a tragic incident, a two-year-old boy died after falling into a sump in front of the house at Medal Block in Periyapatna yesterday. The deceased kid has been identified as Yakshith Kumar, son of Akshay and Jayalakshmi couple.
Yakshith was playing in front of his house at about 5.30 pm yesterday, when he accidentally fell inside the sump.
As Yakshith was not found in front of the house, the shocked parents began to search for him only to find his body in the sump.
Periyapatna Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
