Children join hands in seed ball culture

Mysuru: In order to educate and sensitise the children on Seed Ball Culture, city’s ‘Samskruthi’ had organised a Seed Ball Culture Programme at Government Model Higher Primary School, opposite Ambedkar Park in Ashokapuram,  this morning.

More than 400 children from the School and close-by Educational Institutions took part in the programme which was held under the theme ‘Breathe Green!’

The children were sensitised on the importance of conserving our nature and educated on making seed ball using red soil, organic manure, seeds of medicinal and herbal plants etc.

Mayor M.J. Ravikumar inaugurates the programme.

Former ZP President Dr. Puspa Amarnath, former Mayor and Corporator Purshottam, H.V. Rajeev of Swachh Bharat Rajeev Team, Samskruthi’s Sridevi Bhoopalam, School Head Master Kshetrapal and others were present during the programme.

Many organisations including Inner Wheel Clubs of Mysuru, Karmika Mahila Samaja and Mysuru Mahila Vedike, took part in the programme. The Seed Balls prepared in this programme will be planted along Mysuru-T.Narsipuram, Mysuru-Nanjangud, Outer Ring Road and other roads on the outskirts of the city during the coming monsoon season.
