Mysuru: The second day of Sanchalana Children’s Theatre Festival, organised jointly by Sanchalana, Mysuru and Karnataka Nataka Academy, in association with the Department of Kannada and Culture at Mini Theatre in Kalamandira premises here on Sunday, featured the plays ‘Shabari’ by Sanchalana troupe and ‘Nayithippa’ by students of JSS High School, Nachanahallipalya.
The relentless waiting of Shabari to have a darshan of Lord Rama portraying her eternal devotion was excellently presented by the artistes.
Speaking on the occasion, Theatre Artiste and Actor Achyuth Kumar asked parents to encourage their children to take part in extra-curricular activities. He suggested children to join theatre camps to get exposure to theatre activities which also hones their communication skills.
Former member of Karnataka Nataka Academy B.M. Ramachandra, Amateur Theatre Artistes Forum President H.S. Suresh Babu, Journalist Ganesh Aminagad and others were present.
