Mysuru: The Department of Kannada and Culture and National Saint Poet Kanakadasa Study and Research Centre, Bengaluru, will be jointly organising a two-day conference on ‘Suvarna Sambhrama 50 – Hesarayitu Karnataka, Usiragali Kannada, Karnataka Samkruthika Munnota: Chintana Samavesha at KSOU’s Kaveri Auditorium here from tomorrow (Sept. 20).
The conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah tomorrow at 11.15 am. Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar, Social Welfare and Mysuru District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa and Kannada & Culture Minister Shivaraj Thangadagi will be the chief guests. Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda will preside.
Animal Husbandry and Chamarajanagar District Minister K. Venkatesh, H.D. Kote MLA and Jungle Lodges and Resorts Chairman C. Anil Kumar (Anil Chikkamadu), Srirangapatna MLA and Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited Chairman Ramesh Babu Bandisiddegowda and Karnataka State Gurantee Schemes Implementation Committee Vice-Chairperson Dr. Pushpa Amarnath will be the guests of honour.
Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will be the chief guest. Chamarajanagar MP Sunil Bose will be present.
