Chotteyandamada P. Kariappa (84), a retired Police Inspector and a resident of N.R. Mohalla here, passed away last night.
He leaves behind a daughter, a son and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed this afternoon at the foot of the Chamundi Hill, according to family sources.
