Mysuru: A five-day workshop on Finalisation of Glossary of Evaluation Terms in Telugu version concluded at the National Testing Service-India (NTS-I) of Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru on Aug.31.
The objective behind organising the workshop was to finalise the basic reference materials on Glossary of evaluation terminology in Telugu version. In this workshop the accuracy and appropriateness of Telugu and English parallels, from the discipline of Language Testing and Evaluation, was scrutinised. The parallels selected were drawn from the field of Language, Literature, Education, etc. After the manuscript is final, it will facilitate the teaching learning of Telugu Language.
The experts who participated in this programme were Prof. K.V.V.L. Narasimha Rao, formerly of CIIL, Mysuru; Dr. A.V. Padmakar Reddy, formerly of Telugu Academy, Hyderabad; Prof. K.V.S.N. Murthy, Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Viswa Maha Vidyalaya, Kanchipuram; Dr. P.R. Harinath, Associate Professor, Regional Institute of Education, Mysuru and Dr. Sharmila Prathima, Assistant Professor, IIIT Ongole.
Dr. Narayana Reddy, JRP and B.V.S. Gowthama, RP of NTS-India, both coordinated the workshop under the supervision of Prof. P. R. Dharmesh Fernandez, Head, NTS-I and Pankaj Dwivedi, Officer -in-charge, NTS-I. Prof. D. G. Rao, Director, CIIL, Mysuru was the patron of the workshop.
