City advocates extend moral support to CM

Mysore/Mysuru: Even as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is waging a legal battle against the Governor’s action of according sanction to prosecute  him in the MUDA sites allotment scam, city advocates extended their moral support to the CM by boycotting the Court proceedings yesterday.

The advocates, who held a special meeting at the Mysore Bar Association office located in the City Courts Complex on Tuesday, decided to extend moral support to Siddaramaiah, who is also a Life Member of the Bar Association.

Addressing the meeting, Association President Lokesh said that as Siddaramaiah is a Life Member of the Association, the Association would extend moral and legal support to him.

Later, the advocates who gathered near Gandhiji’s bust after boycotting the Court proceedings for the day,  staged a protest condemning  the Governor for sanctioning prosecution of CM in MUDA scam. They also raised slogans hailing the CM as Siddaramaiah had done no wrong and that the CM has been prima facie falsely accused of being involved in the scam. Association office-bearers S. Sudhir, Umesh, Kantharaju, Thimmaiah, Tanuja Mahesh and others took part.
