Come October, everyone looks forward for the annual grandeur — Naada Habba Dasara — but since the outbreak of Corona pandemic last year, the main attraction of the season, Jumboo Savari too is restricted to Palace premises. With that, the chance to witness the practice sessions of the royal guests of Mysuru, the Dasara jumbos, during early hours of the morning too is a thing of the past now. However, city-based artist L. Yogananda, an alumnus of CAVA, not forgetting these gentle giants, has used it as a medium to attract public attention towards the message he wants to convey by painting a wall atop Chamundi Hill. This painting, which was done last year in order to create awareness on importance of wearing mask even before vaccines were launched, was re-painted yesterday by slightly modifying the same and reminding people about getting vaccinated and follow COVID guidelines.
