City Dance Professor, daughters to perform at ‘Nritya Siri’

Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka Kalashree Professor Dr. K. Kumar and his daughters well-known as ‘Kalemane Sisters’ of Mysuru — K.M. Lekha and K.M. Nidhi — will be presenting Bharatanatyam performance titled ‘Trimurtyanjali’ dedicated to the three gems of Karnatak Music — Shyama Sastri, Muthuswami Dikshitar and Tyagaraja, at ‘Nritya Siri’ Dance Festival to be conducted by Sundhindra Nritya Kalaniketana, Bengaluru, at Seva Sadana in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, on Apr. 9 at  6 pm.

The chief guests for the evening will be Siddram Shinde, Assistant Director, Department of Kannada and Culture, Bengaluru Urban, Karnataka Kalashree Guru Minal Prabhu, Bengaluru, Dr. R.V. Raghavendra, Managing Trustee, Ananya GML Cultural Academy, Guru Vid. Nagaraja Upadhyaya and Guru Vidu. Leelavathi Upadhyaya of Leela Natya Kalavrinda, Bengaluru.
