Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. S. Nairuthya, Chief Consultant – Surgical Gastroenterology and Minimal Access HPB, Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, will be presenting two papers at the 14th Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia (ELSA) Annual Conference being held at Dubai from Oct. 21 to 23.
The papers to be presented by the city doctor are titled, “Anatomical basis for Laparoscopic Retrieval of Antepulsed Interbody Cage” and “Laparoscopic resection after self-expanding stent insertion for obstructive left-sided colorectal cancer – A Single Centre Experience.”
The Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia (ELSA) is a non-profitable organisation founded by a small group of Asian endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery enthusiasts in 1990. The Society was chartered in Singapore on 12 June 1992 with the following objectives: to foster and develop endoscopic surgery in Asia, to share experience and expertise, and to give advice on standards of practice in member countries. The annual ELSA Congress represents an important event in the international calendar of endoscopic surgery. The ELSA Annual Congress is becoming one of the major Surgical Congress in Asia attracting more than 1,200 participants every year.
