Mysuru: Mysuru will soon get five more multiplexes in various newly constructed malls and complexes.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) D. Randeep, who conducted a spot inspection at Bannimantap ‘A’ Layout for a proposed multiplex, said that except for the PVR multiplex in Garuda Mall, the No Objection Certificates (NOCs) have to be given to four other projects.
Re-inspection: The owners of the PVR Cinemas had asked permission for entrance to the building from City Bus Stand side but the city Police had raised objections citing traffic congestion.
Following which previous DC C. Shikha had denied permission making a note to seek permission from the State Government.
Now since the State Government has asked the District Administration to inspect the place, DC Randeep conducted a spot inspection recently.
Now, the PVR owners have sought the entrance from Olympia Talkies side and the District Administration has come forward to solve a few minor glitches. Apart from this, the District Administration is all set to issue NOC to Belur Enterprises and Rockline Cinemas in Bannimantap, PVR Cinemas in Forum Mall and a film theatre constructed by women entrepreneurs in Metagalli.
