City girl enters India Book of Records as ‘Youngest Female Wushu Champion’

Mysore/Mysuru: G. Pranathi, a second standard student of Police Public School, Mysuru, has entered India Book of Records for being the ‘Youngest Female Wushu Champion.’

Born on Nov. 17, 2014, Pranathi has won many Wushu Championships including three gold medals for getting first position and two bronze medals at the National-level from Dec. 28, 2020 to Aug. 9, 2022, at the age of 7 years, 8 months and 23 days as confirmed on Dec. 12, 2022.

Pranathi is the daughter of photographer S.D. Giridhar and L. Sangeetha, residents of Gayathripuram.
