Mysore/Mysuru: City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar has instructed hoteliers to take adequate security measures in view of Dasara from Sept. 22.
Seema Latkar was addressing the meeting of hoteliers, lodge owners, operators of service apartments and Paying Guest (PG) accommodations and managers, at a hotel in city recently.
“Dasara attracts tourists from the country and abroad, but there may be some who shall misuse the situation. Hence, the stakeholders of hospitality industry should take utmost precautions and co-operate with the Police, in view of safety and security. A vigil should be kept on suspicious persons and the Police be informed swiftly. The CCTV cameras should be kept in order and the details of inmates should be compulsorily recorded. The functionality of their cell phones should be confirmed, prior to registering the number. All these details should be shared with the Police towards maintaining the law and order,” she instructed.
DCP (Law and Order) R.N. Bindu Mani, DCP (Crime and Traffic) K.S. Sundar Raj, ACPs, Police Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, owners and managers of lodges, hotels and service apartments were present.
