City Police Comr. to hold public grievances meet at Jayalakshmipuram

Mysuru: Probationary Sub-Inspector Bhavya called upon the citizens to utilise the Police beat system that has been introduced across the city to prevent criminal and anti-social activities.

She was addressing a meeting of the residents at Matrumandali Shishu Vihara in Gokulam 2nd Stage last evening organised by the Jayalakshmipuram Police Station as part of its beat initiative to strengthen the bond between the Police and the Public.

The SI said that the residents can explain about their problems to the beat Police, who will be on regular patrol in the area.

The residents, who aired their grievances on traffic and other civic problems, asked the Police to initiate measures to maintain the parks in the area by appointing a full-time Gardner and also a Guard. One of the residents sought the removal of a mobile tower while another aged person complained about the unbearable sound of the AC installed at a hotel behind his house.

Head Constable D. Vinod urged the residents to attend a Police-Public meeting to be chaired by City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao on July 20 at 4 pm at the Vivekananda Hall of Mahajana College in Jayalakshmipuram.
