Mysuru: Subrahmanya Jeevamsh, Rutva and Krithik of Global Sports Association (GSA) Mysuru, who took part in the State Short Course Swimming Championship organised by Karnataka State Swimming Association at Basavanagudi Swimming Pool in Bengaluru recently, have been selected to represent the State at the South Zone Swimming Competition to be held in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh from Dec. 27 to 29.
A total of five swimmers — Jeevamsh, Rutva, Krithik, Saanvi and Harika — took part in the competition and won four gold, two silver and four bronze medals.
Jeevamsh won three gold in 1500 mts freestyle, 200 mts and 100 mts butterfly respectively; Rutva secured one gold in 50 mts butterfly, two silver medals in 50 mts and 100 mts freestyle and one bronze in individual medley.
Krithik won a silver medal in 100 mts butterfly while Saanvi and Harika won a bronze medal each in 25×4 relay. They are currently training under Head coach Pavan Kumar at GSA, Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Swimming Pool in J.P. Nagar.
