Mysuru: City’s yoga champion and Kalashree Awardee H. Kushi will attempt a World Record for “Back Plank Recline Cruncher Under Yogic Practice” on June 11 at 10.30 am at the Community Hall in Note Mudran Nagar here.
MP Pratap Simha, DC D.Randeep, MLA Vasu, MUDA Commissioner Dr. M. Mahesh, Dr. S.S. Ramesh of K.R. Hospital and officials of Note Mudranalaya will be present to witness the feat.
Kushi, a 9th std. student of St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar, has been practicing yoga since a couple of years. She has already reached the highest level of winning medals not just in the national-level but in the International-level too. Kushi is not only adept in various asanas but has also won accolades in artistic and rhythmic yoga. She has won bronze medal in the First International Yoga Invitation Tournament at Shanghai in China in 2014. She won gold in Solo artistic yogasana and pair rhythmic yogasana and silver in yogasana and pair artistic yogasana at the 6th Asian Yoga Championship at Vietnam last year. She is a recipient of many awards including the Karnataka Kalashree by Bal Bhavan Society and Yoga Praveene by South India Yoga Federation, Bengaluru. Kushi is the daughter of S. Hemachandra, an RBI employee and H. Kumuda, a home-maker, residing in Hebbal.
