City’s Police Public School enters CBSE National-level U-17 Volleyball Tournament

The Volleyball team of Police Public School, Mysuru — Harshith S. Prakash, L.P. Pruthvi Raj, P. Karan, Mohammed Salman Ahmed, D.S. Jeevan, K.U. Omkar, N. Mowrya, R. Koushik, Ashish Bhuvan, H.C. Sandesh, P. Akul and M. Pruthvish — is seen with Team Manager Amaresh, School Senior Physical Education Teacher H.C. Lakshmana, Principal (in-charge) Deena Uthappa, Vice-Principal Nursery M.G. Manjula, Senior Teacher Sheela and Primary School PE Teacher Vijay.

Mysuru: Police Public School, Mysuru, run by KSPW&E Trust, has been selected to take part in the CBSE National-level U-17 Volleyball Tournament to be held at Himachal Pradesh from Oct. 21 to 25.

The team participated in the State-level Tournament at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School in Kalaburagi during September in which 236 Schools participated under different categories and won the coveted trophy.

Their trophy journey started with ‘Arjuna Cup’ which was held at Sports Pavilion Grounds in Mysuru, in which they defeated 90-plus teams in the Inter-District Secondary Championship.

The school also won the title in the Inter-High School Volleyball Tournament held at Maharshi Public School in Mysuru in September which saw nearly 32 schools’ participation.

The students were trained by the School’s Senior Physical Education Teacher H.C. Lakshmana, Primary School PE Teacher Vijay and accompanied by the Team Manager Amaresh (PGT, Chemistry) and played under the Captainship of Ashish Bhuvan (Class X section ‘B’).
