Mysore/Mysuru: City lad Vishwas Kumar, who is one of the youngest to pass the Chartered Accountants (CA) exam this year, was felicitated by the Federation of Organisations and Associations of Mysuru at a programme organised at Patrakarthara Bhavan here on Monday.
Speaking as the guest of honour, MLA L. Nagendra said that Vishwas Kumar has brought laurels to the city by passing the difficult CA exam with flying colours at a young age.
Thanking the Federation for honouring Vishwas Kumar, he said that he wished him more success in the future on behalf of the people of Mysuru.
Federation Vice-President C.Narayanagowda said that Vishwas Kumar passed CA exam at the young age of 20 and this is really an outstanding achievement. Noting that perhaps Vishwas Kumar may be the youngest to pass the exam, he said Vishwas Kumar was also a topper in the PU exam by bagging the third rank in the State.
Federation President B.S. Prashanth said Vishwas Kumar, like most of his fellow professionals, must not look for greener pastures abroad but stay here and work for the country. His feat must be an inspiration to other aspiring CA candidates, he added.
Speaking after being felicitated, Vishwas Kumar said that he dreamt of becoming a Chartered Accountant in his childhood days itself and now he has realised the dream. Stating that he lost out on a rank by just 40 marks, he said that he has plans to do his MBA next.
Vishwas Kumar’s parents Keerthy Kumar, an Auditor and M.S. Nagarathna, a home-maker, residing in Vidyaranyapuram, Federation office-bearer Mahesh and others were present.
