Sir,
We wish to draw the attention of the local MLA, Deputy Mayor and Muda Commissioner towards the poor maintenance of parks, roads and street-lights in our locality (Devanur 3rd Stage, now known as Rajivnagar 3rd Stage).
The new layout was developed by MUDA and sites were distributed during 1991 but not a single house was constructed for a long time. It was only after 2015 people slowly started constructing houses, but parks and roads are still in a bad shape. There is no proper street-light facility also.
The road laying works are in progress at some places but many roads are still untouched. The parks are not developed and are in a very pathetic condition with unwanted growth of weeds and shrubs inside the park.
As the street-lights in our locality are out of order, people, particularly ladies and children, do not find it safe to go out of their houses during dark.
There is every chance of hooligans taking advantage of the darkness with vacant sites galore in the area.
Uncovered manhole causes blockage of water and overflow of sewage water frequently.
The whole surrounding of the park area and vacant sites are converted into a dumping yard. Daily the garbage and carcass of dead animals are dumped here causing health hazard to the people of the locality.
The Narayana Hospital is located very nearby and the garbage burning causes a lot of problems to the patients inside.
Therefore, on behalf of the residents of Rajivnagar 3rd Stage, I request the authorities concerned to take necessary action to repair the park, provide proper street lighting, repair the roads and clear the garbage piles regularly so that the people of the area can heave a sigh of relief.
– S.A. Shah, Devanur 3rd Stage (Rajivnagar), 18.3.2022
