This has reference to special instructions in the wake of Covid-19 by the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies (ARCS) to all Societies and Associations to get their audited statements and balance sheets ready by September and hold AGMs and submit the renewal applications before 31st December 2020.
Now already September is approaching and with the increasing incidents of Corona cases, and the conditions not to hold any group meetings, the Societies and Associations are helpless and cannot hold any physical Annual General Body Meetings (AGMs) as per Government instructions and it will be even difficult to submit renewal papers before December end.
It is in this connection whether we have to write to the ARCS and obtain permission for extending time even beyond this period. The concerned Department may issue notification clarifying the matter so that all the Societies and Associations could follow accordingly.
