Mysuru: Kalabharathi Division of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Mysuru Kendra, has arranged a classical Instrumental Music (Mandolin) by R. Mithun on Apr.22 (Saturday) at 6 pm as part of its monthly music programme at Y.T.Thathachari Auditorium in Vijavanagar 1st stage.

The artiste was born in a traditional Mysuru family to R.S. Radha Krishna and Sunanda. He has been learning and playing Mandolin right from the age of ten. He was inspired and initiated to this instrument by the pioneer of Carnatic Music Mandolin player U. Srinivas.
He has undergone rigorous training for seven years at BVB, Mysuru, under late Vid. Ganesh Kumar and Vid. Prasanna Kumar.
Mithun started giving performance on Mandolin from the age of fifteen. Since 2011 he is under the tutelage of Vid. K.V.Ramanuja Charyulu of Thiruchirapalli, who is an ‘A’ grade artiste of AIR, Tiruchanapalli. The artiste belongs to Thayagaraja Guru Shishya Parampara and has given performance throughout India and USA on various platforms.
Mithun will be accompanied by other musicians and instrumentalists.
