Mysore/Mysuru: Gayana Sabha, Mysuru, has organised classical music concerts on Saturday (June 18) at Ganabharathi auditorium in Kuvempunagar. The concerts will start at 5.30 pm with Hindustani solo vocal recital by Sameer Kulkarni, followed by Hindustani-Karnatak music Jugalbandi by Vidu. Kritika Sreenivasan and Vidu. Shruti Bode.
Karnatak music vocalist Krithika Sreenivasan is currently receiving advanced training from Vidwan Chitravina Ravikiran and Vidwan Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma. Always working on conceptualising newer thematic presentations, she has amassed a vast repertoire of compositions and compositional forms.
Hindustani vocalist Shruti Bode has been learning and performing music under the guidance of Vidushi Vani Hegde and also had the privilege of learning music under late Dr. Bharati Vaishampayan.
The vocalists will be supported on tabla by Parameshwar Hegde and Vijetha Hegde; on mridanga by Deepikaa Sreenivasan; on harmonium by Vighnesh Bhagawath and on violin by C.V. Shruthi.
