Mysore/Mysuru: Gayana Sabha and Naatya Sabha, Mysuru, have organised classical music and dance events at Ganabharathi’s Ramagovinda Kalavedike in Kuvempunagar on Feb. 17 at 5.30 pm.
Tejashri N. Murthy and V. Samiksha Kumar will present a duet recital of Karnatak music, accompanied by Vikram Bharadwaj on mridanga and Amritavarshini on violin. Rakshitha Raju and M.S. Chandana will perform a thematic Bharatanatyam titled ‘Shivashakti.’
Tejashri has completed Vidwat in both Karnatak music and Bharatanatyam. She is trained in music by Vidu. Srilatha Valleesh and is a senior disciple of Dr. Kripa Phadke in Bharatanatyam. She also holds a degree in engineering. She has been performing at prestigious platforms for the past couple of years.
Samiksha is being trained by guru and mother Vidu. K.R. Srilatha in Karnatak music and by Dr. Kripa Phadke in Bharatanatyam. She has completed senior examination in both art forms. She has been successfully performing for the past few years.
Rakshita and Chandana are senior disciples of Bharatanatyam Guru Vidu. Roopashree Madhusudan for the past 16 years and have completed Vidwat exam. Both have performed on many prestigious platforms across the country and have received many scholarships and awards.
