T. Narasipur: As part of the Swachh campaign, various organisations conducted a cleanliness drive at Triveni Sangama recently.
Bengaluru’s Poorna Pramathi School, T. Narasipur Town Municipal Council (TMC), Youth Brigade, Sriveeranjaneya Dharma Jagriti Balaga and Jwalamuki Group members jointly conducted the cleaning of the Cauvery, Kabini and Spatika Rivers that flow through the middle of the Town’s Sri Gunja Narasimhaswamy and Agasthyeshwara Temple.
Poorna Pramathi School Principal Shashi Rekha speaking on the occasion, warned that if we do not preserve our rivers which are our lifelines and maintain their cleanliness, everyone has to struggle for water in the coming days.
By involving the students in the cleanliness campaign, awareness about the importance of rivers was being created, she added.
TMC Executive Officer R. Ashok, Health Officer Chetan Kumar, Mahendra, teachers of Poorna Pramithi School, parents and association members participated in the cleanliness drive.
