CESC MD warns consumers, Govt. offices
Mysuru: Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) Limited Managing Director (MD) G. Sheela has warned power consumers and Government offices to clear the pending bills, failing which they will face power disconnection.
She informed that many consumers, Government Departments and Gram Panchayats have not cleared the power bills including bills of drinking water plants and streetlights. Hence, power connections will be disconnected if the pending bills are not cleared within the deadline.
Stating that after the bill is generated, a deadline of 15 days is given to pay the bill, she said and added that the instructions printed behind the bill giving 15 days time to pay the bill should be treated as the notice.
Except for emergency services such as Government Hospitals and Police Dept., the rest of power consumers, including Govt. Departments should clear their pending bills within seven days at the CESC counters or through online, failing which power connection will be disconnected, the CESC MD warned.
