Dy. Commissioner D. Randeep, who is also the Executive Officer of Mysore Palace Board, has instructed the officials to initiate measures to clear the pending cases filed against the Palace Board.
Addressing the Palace Board meeting here yesterday, DC Randeep said that 14 cases were pending against the Board among which few had been stayed by the Courts.
The Board has been facing cases filed by employees, relating to parking space, eviction of petty shops and others. Later, Randeep instructed the officials to take up works on developing an attractive park inside the Palace premises.
He asked the officials to seek help from the Horticulture Department to develop an attractive park for the benefit of the large number of visitors.
Additional Dy. Commissioner T. Venkatesh, Palace Board Deputy Director T.S. Subramanya, Horticulture Deputy Director D. Manjunath, Palace Board Legal Advisor Suresh and others were present at the meeting.
