Climbathon marks Intl. Women’s Day

Mysore/Mysuru: Cauvery Group of Institutions and Cauvery Heart and Multi-Speciality Hospital, Mysuru, celebrated International Women’s Day yesterday.

On the occasion, more than 250 students of Cauvery Group of Institutions, comprising Para-medical, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing,  participated in a Climbathon along Chamundi Hill steps. 

They carried placards depicting issues related to women’s health and also distributed snap notes to fellow climbers on tips to be followed specifically related to women’s health ranging from breast cancer, uterine cancer, osteoporosis, mental depression, post menopausal problems among others.

The event was flagged off by Dr. Sarala Chandrashekar, Managing Director, Cauvery Group of Institutions in the presence of Dr G.R. Chandrashekar, Chairman, Cauvery Heart and Multi-Speciality Hospital; Dr.R. Vaidhyanathan, Director, Department of Emergency and Critical Care, Cauvery Hospital; Dr. Uzma, Consultant Gynaecologist, Cauvery Hospital; Chief Administrative Officer Ganesh Prabhu; Cauvery Group of Institutions  Principals Dr. R.M. Aravind, Chandrashekar, Susheela; Facility Director B.J. Sandeep Patel; College staff and students.
