Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddharamaiah hinted that he will contest the 2018 Assembly elections from Chamundeshwari Constituency.
Speaking to press persons at Mandakalli Airport here this morning, Siddharamaiah, when asked about reports on him contesting from Koppal, said that he had lost the 1991 Lok Sabha polls from Koppal by a narrow margin. “I have only expressed my desire to contest from there as the people had appealed to me,” he said.
6-laning of Mysuru-Bengaluru Road
PWD Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa said that the NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) has been entrusted with the responsibility of upgrading the 9-km stretch of Ring Road from Hinkal junction to Columbia Asia Hospital junction, linking with NH-175, at a cost of Rs. 82 crore.
Likewise, the 16-km stretch of the Ring Road from Columbia Asia Hospital junction to Nanjangud Road junction will be upgraded at a cost of Rs. 95 crore, he said and added that the works on the 6-laning of Mysuru-Bengaluru Road will commence by the end of this month.
