Nanjangud: With polls round the corner, Chief Minister Siddharamaiah inaugurated/launched a slew of projects in the temple town this morning.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the Kanaka Samudaya Bhavan near the old bus stand built at a cost of Rs. 3.5 crore and inaugurated the new complex in APMC premises built at a cost of Rs. 2 crore.
Siddharamaiah also performed Guddali puja to a slew of infrastructure works taken up under the Nagarothana scheme at a cost of Rs. 20 crore and to the Shadi Mahal building that will come up at a cost of Rs. 8 crore on MGS road of the town and launched the Rs. 1 crore renovation work at the Church on Ooty road.
Speaking after inaugurating the Kanaka Bhavan, Siddharamaiah said that the efforts of late leader B. Rachaiah for the overall development of Nanjangud can never be forgotten. Asserting that he (CM) was committed for development of Nanjangud as a model town, he called for people’s participation in ensuring government programmes, projects, schemes and initiatives, a success.
District Minister Dr.H.C. Mahadevappa, MP R. Dhruvanarayan, MLA Kalale Keshavamurthy, leader Dr.Yathindra Siddharamaiah, Kaginale Shakha Mutt Seer Shivananda Puri Swamiji and others were present.
