Mysuru: Out of 11 Indira Canteens proposed in city, ten are almost ready and construction of the eleventh one has been taken up on Jodithenginamara Road in Bannimantap.
Disclosing this to Star of Mysore, MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha said that all the canteens proposed in the State will be of uniform design and set up with pre-fabricated walls thus assisting quick construction.
He further said that the canteens would be inaugurated on Jan.1 subject to the availability of the CM.
Explaining further, Jagadeesha said that MCC would be responsible for supply of power, water and Under Ground Drainage (UGD) and a Committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner would be monitoring all the canteens.
He further said that the food tender was ready and waiting for the Government approval.
