Mysore/Mysuru: Mysore Vishwakarma Association has urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to announce the setting up of Vishwakarma Study Centre in the forthcoming State Budget.
Speaking at a press conference held at Pathrakartara Bhavan in the city recently, Association’s Mantelingachar said there are very few studies about the culture of Vishwakarma community at the University level and hence there is a need to carry out studies at the higher level. University of Mysore is the appropriate place as there are more facilities here.
So, if the Study Centre is set up here, it will help community members from across Karnataka to participate, he added.
