CM Siddaramaiah to visit H.D. Kote tomorrow

To launch various development works

H.D. Kote: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be visiting H.D. Kote tomorrow (Nov. 12) to launch various developmental works which will be undertaken at a cost of Rs. 450 crore and also to take part in Valmiki Jayanti.

Prior to the CM’s visit, MLA  Anil Chikkamadu, along with officials, yesterday inspected the Junior College premises, where preparations are being made to celebrate Valmiki Jayanti.

The MLA said that both CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar will take part in the event. PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi, Social Welfare and Mysuru District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will offer floral tributes to the portrait of Valmiki while Minister Co-operation K.N. Rajanna and Animal Husbandry Minister K. Venkatesh will distribute prizes to best tableaux.

As the CM will later hold interactions with the tribals, the MLA visited tribal hamlets and inspected the preparations. He urged the tribals to put forth their problems before the CM.

Hunsur Assistant Commissioner Vijayakumar, Tahsildar Srinivas, Dy.SP Gopalakrishna, Circle Inspector Shabir Hussain, Executive Officer Dharanesh, Assistant Executive Engineers Ganesh and Ramegowda, Agriculture Officer Jayaram, Horticulture Department’s Nethravathi, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Deepa and others accompanied the MLA during his inspection.
