CM to inaugurate development works in Maddur on July 28

Maddur: With Chief Minister Siddaramaiah scheduled to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various development programmes in Maddur taluk on July 28, MLA K.M. Uday instructed the officials to ensure all arrangements were made on time.

Presiding over a meeting at the Traveller’s Bungalow, here  he said various committees had been formed to ensure necessary protocol was followed and also to overlook food, drinking water, among other arrangements.

Inauguration of 75 development programmes

The Chief Minister will be laying foundation stone and inaugurate 75 various development programmes worth Rs. 1,400 crore during the mega convention. Among the major developmental works include Rs. 81 crore works taken up by PWD, Rs. 300 crore works by Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Limited (CNNL) and Rs. 12 crore works by Karnataka Slum Development Board (KSDB) among others. 

Addressing the meeting, Mandya DC Dr. Kumara asked the officials to present a report on development works being taken up by their respective departments and instructed them to ensure invitations were extended to Ministers, Chairmen of various Boards and Corporations and senior officials.

He also asked the officials to make arrangements for distribution of food to the public and to  conduct thorough quality examination of the food.

Dr. Kumara also instructed the officials to install CCTV cameras at various points to keep an eye on the proceedings along with making arrangements for mobile toilets and parking of vehicles.

SP Mallikarjun Baladandi, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Joint Director M.P. Krishnakumar, ZP Deputy Secretary Lakshmi, Additional SP C.E. Thimmaiah and others officials were present at the meeting.
