CM to visit Gundlupet on Apr. 21

MLC Dr. K. Shivakumar and his wife Dr. P. Sarasvathy (University of Mysore Librarian), who were felicitated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at a felicitation ceremony organised by Dr. K. Shivakumar Fans Association and Federation of Dalit Organisations at Senate Bhavan in Manasagangothri this morning, seen with District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Minister for Animal Husbandry K. Venkatesh, MLAs Tanveer Sait, K. Harishgowda and A.R. Krishnamurthy, MLC Dr. D. Thimmaiah, CM’s Media Advisor K.V. Prabhakar and senior journalist Krishna Prasad.

Gundlupet (Chamarajanagar): Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the project of filling up 110 lakes in Gundlupet taluk on Apr. 21, said MLA H.S. Ganesh Prasad.

Presiding over the meeting of officials at Gundlupet Taluk Office auditorium here yesterday, he said that the CM would also inaugurate the works under the Amrut Project to provide drinking water for the taluk, CESC sub-stations at Arepura and Hattimarukatte, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Residential School near Bommanahalli among other development works.

He said that Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar and Ministers concerned will attend the event.

Ganesh Prasad instructed the officials to ensure helipad was readied at D. Devaraj Urs Ground for the arrival of CM and his cabinet colleagues.

The officials were also told to make elaborate parking arrangements and to initiate measures to control the crowd attending the event.
