‘CM’s wife got compensation for denotified land in Kesare’

Mysore/Mysuru: MLC A.H. Vishwanath has alleged that despite the denotification of land belonging to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi, in Kesare, the MUDA has illegally paid compensation.

“I am not saying that the CM is directly involved in the scam, but people close to him have misused his name to commit illegal acts, and this must be investigated,” he stated.

“In 1990-1992, Parvathi’s brother Mallanna purchased 3.16 acres of land in Kesare under survey number 464. He later transferred the land to his sister Parvathi. In 1998, this land was denotified, and MUDA paid compensation to Parvathi. During this process, Siddaramaiah was the Deputy CM,” Vishwanath explained.

After denotifying the land, MUDA acquired and developed it under a 50:50 ratio agreement. According to the law, MUDA must hand over half of its share, approximately 14 sites, within the same layout where the landowner agreed to the development. However, Parvathi obtained sites in other areas, including the upscale Vijayanagar area, he added.
