Co-optex’s Makara Sankranti offer: Expo-cum-sale till Jan. 31

 University of Mysore Registrar D. Bharati, who inaugurated the Co-optex Handloom Expo in city recently, is seen taking a look at the sarees on display.

Mysuru: Saree in India represents its rich heritage and culture. It is hard to find out about the origin of saree since it is being used from many decades.

India being a country of  different culture, sarees are also draped in different styles according to the tradition of respective culture.

Women prefer to purchase the saree of their choice, especially during special occasions be it the marriage ceremony, house warming or festivals.

With Makara Sankranti festival here, the Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers Co-operative Society Ltd., popularly known as Co-optex, has organised an exhibition-cum-sale of sarees at its premises on Narayana Shastri Road opposite to More Mega Stores.

The exhibition was inaugurated by D. Bharati, Registrar of Mysore University recently. Senior Regional Manager G.N. Anbalagan, M. Selvaraj, S. Prabhu and others are present on the occasion.

The expo will be open till Jan.31 daily from 10 am to  8 pm. The organisers have also announced 30 percent discount on sarees.

There are a variety of sarees including Kanchivaram, Ami saree, Coimbatore soft silk, Organic cotton saree and others.
