Mysuru: “A true photographer should have a concern for environment and nature to evolve meaningful pictures,” opined Karnataka Sahitya Academy Chairman Prof. Aravinda Malagathi.
He was speaking after releasing a coffee-table book featuring pictures of Forts of Karnataka brought out by photographer Vishwanath Suvarna at a function held at Rajendra Bhavan, JSS Hospital premises here on Monday.
Hailing the feat of Vishwanath which has not been done by the Archaeology Department, he observed that Vishwanath had never viewed photography as just a profession but has toiled to reveal the history pictorially. He said that the book will be an invaluable work for the next 50 years.
Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji graced the occasion. FKCCI Vice-President Sudhakar S. Shetty, ORI Director Dr. S. Shivarajappa, Vishwanath Suvarna and others were present.
