Committed for developing Varuna Assembly segment into a model one, says MLA

Nanjangud: Congress MLA from Varuna Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah said that he was committed for making the Assembly segment a model one in the State in terms of development.

He was speaking after performing ‘Bhoomi Pooja’ (Ground-breaking ceremony) for the construction of an Ayurveda Hospital, a Library building, Kanaka Bhavan and Vishwakarma Bhavan at Maralur Goddanapura in Nanjangud taluk recently.

Pointing out that the construction of the four buildings is taken up at a cost of Rs. 19 lakh each, Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah said that his father Siddharamaiah became the Chief Minister because of the blessings of the people of Varuna Constituency. 

Stating that he was indebted to the people, he assured that he will strive for the overall development of the Constituency and thus make it a model one in the State.

Dr. Yathindra also inaugurated an overhead water tank at Hallididdi village built at a cost of Rs. 10.76 lakh, Basava Bhavans built in Hallikerehundi and Gowdarahundi villages at a cost of Rs. 12 lakh each and Savita Samaja Community Hall built at a cost of Rs. 11 lakh at Yechagalli village.

Former Valmiki Development Corporation Chairman S.C. Basavaraju, Congress leaders B.M. Ramu, Gurupadaswamy, B.P. Mahadev, Lakshmi Mahadev and a host of other local leaders, Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Srikantaraje Urs, Drinking Water Project Officer Charitha, Revenue Inspector Raju, PDO Veena and a host of other officials were present.
