Mysuru: Dr. N. N. Prahallada, former Associate Professor of Education, RIE, Mysore, called upon teacher trainees at Secondary School Level (B.Ed.) to be more responsible in discharging their duties as responsible citizens and to make students participate in all the school activities.
He was speaking after inaugurating a three-day Community Living Camp (CLC) of Vidya Vikas B.Ed. College on Bannur Road here on May 17.
He said that community living camp’s main aim was to make teachers more socially responsible and to strengthen social relationship in the immediate community. The art of living in a multi-cultural setting is indeed a herculean task. Community teaches values such as honesty, mutual trust, healthy social relationship, mutual respect, equality of male and female, national integration, communal harmony, religious tolerance through secular attitude, tolerance and patience. Teachers have more moral responsibility in shaping a student’s life, he added.
Prof. Rajgopal, Principal Vidya Vikas B.Ed College, welcomed. Prasanna, Faculty, VV B.Ed College, was the coordinator of Community Living Camp.
