Mysuru: The first day of competitions at the 38th All India Postal Cultural Meet, currently being held in Mysuru, witnessed Kerala Postal Circle securing the top position. Kerala won ten first prizes and one second prize, earning a total of 53 points.
The second position was secured by Karnataka Postal Circle, which won five first prizes, seven second prizes and one third prize, accumulating a total of 47 points.
The third position was achieved by Odisha Postal Circle, which won two first prizes, one second prize and one third prize, securing a total of 14 points.
From Kerala Postal Circle, Srihari won in the junior category of Karnatak Classical Music; Teertha Prakash won in the senior category of Karnatak Classical Music; Vishnu Vijay won in the senior category of flute and mridanga performances.
From Karnataka Postal Circle, R. Girish won in the senior category of Karnatak Classical Music and Light Music; S. Charmi won in the junior category of Light Music in the Karnatak style; R. Chandrashekar won in the senior category of ghata and mridanga performance.
K.R. Pratham won in the junior category of flute performance. J. Deeksha won in the senior category of veena performance. Abhigna won in the junior category of Karnatak Classical Music. C.G. Pradyum Kaushik won in the senior category of violin performance.
From Odisha Postal Circle, Hrudhya Manikaranika won in the junior category of Kuchipudi dance, Sameeksha Mohanty won in the senior category of Kuchipudi dance and Abhijit Mahapatra won in the junior category of Hindustani Classical Music.
This five-day cultural meet, organised by the Department of Posts and hosted by Karnataka Postal Circle, is being held at the Postal Training Centre (PTC) and the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) campus in Mysuru.
A total of 335 officers, representing 21 Postal Circles from across India, are participating in the event. The meet is regarded as a significant platform for promoting cultural exchange and strengthening national integration among postal employees.
