The two recent robberies by bike-borne riders on Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway (Star of Mysore dated Aug. 14) are shocking and looks very strange as only just a few days ago the officials had banned two-wheelers and autos on the Expressway.
It indicates that either the prohibition is not strictly being implemented or there are unauthorised entry points to this Expressway enabling such miscreants to enter and target helpless commuters. Earlier it was also reported that some vehicles were avoiding certain toll gates and entering service roads to avoid paying toll fees.
Are these service roads accessible to one and all and not barricaded for unauthorised entry of vehicles? The authorities concerned have to look into this to plug such loopholes and provide safety to toll-paying commuters on this Expressway.
